MOST adhesives clean up with mineral spirits. Take a scrap piece of your hardwood and rub it with a rag with some mineral spirits on it... rub longer and harder than you think it will be to clean what you need to... if it doesn't affect the sample, you should be good. Good Luck! What can I use to clean glue and adhesive off a newly installed hardwood floor.?
Goo Gone. It works great and fast.
a product called Goo Gone , it takes off almost everything
Try goo gone. That stuff is pretty good. Or just go to walmart or something and look for something there. Maybe even an orange cleaner.
There's a product call Goof-off that I've used many times of different surfaces. It's a liquid and you put it on the glue spots and it just disolves it until you can wipe it up. Doesn't seem to damage the surface at all.

This product is available in most variety stores.
Goo Gone will do it.
Try Naphtha.

It's done a pretty outstanding job for me at removing dried-up glue.
