How can I remove hardened adhesive from a timber floor tile?

I know this is going to sound crazy, but I use gasoline . Just wet the corner of a rag with some gasoline and rub it. It will immediately melt the adhesive. It will not harm the floor ,as it is an oil based product. Its a little smelly at first, but the odor will dissipate, just Wash the floor when you finish. It is cheap, and it works great. How can I remove hardened adhesive from a timber floor tile?
Fire up the old clothing iron, wet a rag and press on the adhesive lightly until it transfers to the rag.Ta DAAAA!!!How can I remove hardened adhesive from a timber floor tile?
they sell a product called goo gone. you can buy it at hardware stores
i recently did over 2000 square feet of hardwood paquat flooringcovered with 60 year old carpet adhesive on it. i used several dif products. the best i came across is ';JASCO'; its in a black and red can available at most hardware stores. approx $15 a gallon works excelent without damaging the wood.
