How do you remove floor tile adhesive from a concrete floor?

Hi,


Had a leaking dishwasher and the wodden tiles started to come up around it. These were put down with evostick wood tile adhesieve and I was wondering if there is any easy way of getting this stuff off the concrete?


And is there any other make of tile adhesive to relay new tiles as the last ones started to come up after a few days?


The instructions said to apply the glue and then apply the wooden tiles into te glue when it has dried a little???


I would have presumed that the glue would be required to be wet??

They make an adhesive remover you can use although it's not necessary to get it off completely if your just putting down new tile. You just need to make sure the surface is flat and the tiles don't sit unevenly. You can add new glue over the old if the old stuff is stuck down well. You can use contractors cement for the small areas and it can be wet when you use it. It comes in a tube like liquid nails and it holds down even in damp areas. Alot of the adheisive removers work some but can be very messy. I found elbow grease and a good scraper works the best for me.. Most of the wood glues I ve worked w/ you can set the wood in ';wet'; or ';dry '; but check yours to be sure which way is best..If the last ones you did that are starting to come up was the cement still wet? Apply a piece of foil w/ duct tape over some of the exposed cement and in 24 hrs see if theres still moisture under the foil , you ll know GL
this is a water based sealant so u might go to ur local hardware like Lowe's or home depot and check to see if the have a glue removal good luck and smile
